Set in Feudal Japan, Samurai Wars is a modification of Savage: the Battle for Newerth, which allows players to take on the role of a Daimyo (commander) and different types of foot soldier.

Building on the strengths of the Savage engine, Samurai Wars provides an alternative and engrossing playing experience with a hugely popular melee content.

The game is divided into two teams, each team having a commander (Daimyo) who will issue orders to the rest of the team which is made up of varying classes. The Daimyo must build structures in order to increase the possibilities of victory.
