[edit] Savage 1 Well Known "US" clan list

The well known clans are clans that are typically large in size and usually have good players. If someone is in a well known clan, then they usually are feared by many noobs.

[edit] affliction (-a-)

A clan consisting of pro fps'ers (predominantly quake), they dominated savage(post 2.00) with their ranged skills for quite some time. Also known as Team-affliction. Leaders: simple, sleepwalker.

[edit] Black Knights (BK)

A clan which stirred up a lot of controversy (ie: flame wars). Most of the controversy was spawned by reactions to the ideals and views of the BK leader, Thunderbird. BK hosted a server that was ruled with an iron fist and the leader did not hesitate to punish anyone he saw a problem with. For example, Thunderbird perceived bunny hopping as cheating and a bannable offense, and his followers were expected to support and enforce his views. Leader: Thunderbird.

[edit] Blood Tribe (BT)

BT is a hardcore and competetive fps clan, and one of the longest surviving Savage clans. BT was created just after the release of Savage in 2003. BT had started its dominance early and became one of the most feared clans pre 2.0. BT consistently took 1st place across all 3 ladders. Post 2.0 BT lost a few core members. This would also be a rough time as they took a back seat to Affliction, pushing BT to a close second for most tourneys. In 2005 BT suffered from inactivity due to MMO's and real life issues and could be scarcely found on servers, while continuing to be a consistent clan outside of Savage. In 2007 BT has reorganized themselves for one last tourney and has shown they can still kick ass as they are waiting to play a championship match vs Cruel, acomplishing this with the same core members they have had since 2003. Arrogant? Nah. Prideful? Very. Leader: Headsman

[edit] Cirque du Shaman (CdS)

A clan for healing enthusiasts. CdS began as a small friendly clan of healing misfits and oddballs, however it was made into the largest clan in EX2 through the recruiting efforts of Bellringer. The Clan continues to exist on a smaller scale in SEP. Leader: Psychadelic Shaman. Motto: Rez Whores and Proud

[edit] Clan Wars (CW)

An early clan reknown for coming up with odd/innovative strategies in clan matches. They later merged with Ultimate Assasins.

[edit] Cruel (-C-)

Made up primarily of past members of CuRe. Leader: TripleH.

[edit] CuRe

Leaders: Matax, cancer.

[edit] Demons (DM)

One of the best clans in the latter days of savage, they enjoyed farming noobs and owning people in clan matches. DM suffered some inactivity and lost many members to MMOs and real life. DM gained some players from other clans when they went inactive, like ninkum from BT and Helios/Pattycake from TFU. After not competing for a couple years, DM played NSL 2 and dominated, never losing a single match. People thought they were too rusty, I guess not. DM still plays games together on vent to this day, April 2010. Leaders: Venture, WarDragon.

[edit] Invictus (i|)

A good competitive clan in the early days of savage, they lost their luster later on as they loosened their recruiting standards. Also known as Sum-Invictus. Leader: Daolin

[edit] Krazo

One of the losing-ist clans in competitive savage history, but well known for their sportsmanship. Leader: Friedmud, Valkyrie.

[edit] Rabid Dogs of Hell (RDH)

Leader: Crazy.

[edit] Rampaging Gentlemen USA (RaGeUSA)

Leader:cutter A clan formed in the winter of 2007 with the permission of Sibuna, the RaGeEU division. After a few months of struggling to get new members, the clan started to grow with skill. Currently, it has 23 members(of about 12 who are active) and they look to continue growing under cutter, and Standard and Sever, the newly appointed Co-leaders.

[edit] Saints (St)

One of the most dominating clans in savage(pre 2.00) along with BT.

[edit] Training For Utopia (TFU)

A clan initially formed to take on the dominating clan affliction and to combat team stacking in pubs. Like DM, they were one of the best clans in the latter days of savage. Leaders: jonnycat, Zelek, Helios.

[edit] Tree Thugs (TT)

A clan that liked to pretend that all its members were of the female persuasion. Leader: Chief Corn

[edit] TRoN

A clan that started out as a friendly group of demo server players, it later evolved into a competitive clan. Leader: Swilt

[edit] Twilight (T)

Leaders: unforgiven one, final impact.

[edit] Ultimate Assasins (UA)

A good competitive clan. Leader: Recursive

[edit] Vandalism (V)

Formed by a pair of drug dealers they were a clan of buffwhoring, smacktalking idiots. Leaders: Nirvana, Murderer, DarkStorm

[edit] Prepare to Respawn (P2R)

See P2R for more information. (Article now made more accurate)

[edit] Well Known EU Clans

This is a list of some of the well known clans in Europe.

[edit] Arsenic (Ars)

This clan was good in it's time, but was disbanded in 2005 for lack of activity. They played mostly Ex2 and participated in Ex2 tournaments and leagues. Many of the Arsenic players moved to SEP and continued playing but all went their separate ways. Leaders: MrEvilDr, Decel

[edit] Warrior

[edit] Demonic Monsters (DeMo)

[edit] Evolved (EvO)

[edit] Phalanx (P)

[edit] Rampaging Gentlemen (RaGe)=

One of European Clans. A few months ago, after a massive surge of players leaving and an inactive leader, RaGe has been completely reformed with new players and new leaders.

[edit] Storm of Vengeance (SoV)

[edit] Elements of Nocturne (eoN)

[edit] The Savage Frogs (Frog)

[edit] ALFA (ALFA)

[edit] Hated Clans

Some clans are hated, especially since they are noobs, steal icons, or they were flat out annoying

[edit] ZETAS

Zetas was a clan with a single member, Zetas: The Quest (Who was Sir Trunks as an alias), which posted annoying spam about quests, etc.

[edit] DM Bodyguards

They were flat out noobs. They stole icons and got 12/53 K/D Ratios.

[edit] Gimmick Clans

Some clans exist as a gimmick, perhaps as a joke, or just to give the founder their own icon. They typically don't have enough members to be fit to compete, and their members may or may not actually be good players.

[edit] orange (ora)

The clan orange is a one-man clan that exists as a diplomatic mission to Savage and to Newerth. The clan is actually larger, but only one of the members is a Savage player. And it's not even one of the ones that are good at first person shooters.

[edit] Savage 2

S2Games will release a clan management system, Savage 2 Clans

[edit] Savage 2 Clan System

The clan system will support Clan Web Pages, and RSS feeds
