I consider Keeper of the be a very undervalued support/tank. When used effectively Keeper can win the game for a team.

Starting Items
Pretender’s Crown– 185
Runes of the blight -90
Loggers Hatcher – 225
Minor Totem – 53
Mana potion -50
Total 603

Item Buying from there
Stout shield -250

I like to get stout shield because it makes for some very good early game tanking. With stout shield and nature’s protection, you can roll in with keeper of the forest and last hit a creep and then roll out. If you get hit by a few creeps its not nearly as big of a deal.
Marchers – 500

Upgrade circlet to Fortified Braclet
Teleport scroll – 135
At this point you’ll have all the items you need for early game. Now you have to decide whether or not you will go Restoration Stone or Mock of Brillance. I usually get Mock, but this is where you can decide. It is very situational. I personally like to get mock especially when the team has a lot of squishy heroes like casters. On the other hand I think Refresher Orb can work better against a lot of higher health heroes.
Mock or Restoration Stone -5150, 5300
Post Marchers – 2200
Behemoth’s Heart of the other Mock or Restoration

Laneing
You will go either top lane or bottom lane (obviously not middle). Why I usually like to go the top for horde and bottom for legion with most heroes, I do the opposite for this hero. This hero I find can take the heat of the less appealing lane. However, you will want to use your tree sight to creep block. Here’s a picture of where you will want to place your wards.

In addition, when actually laning, cast nature’s protection on both you and your ally. This will really help both of you guys. Use camouflage if you need to get away.
This like I said before prevents creeps from spawning that would be creep pulled.
Later on you want to ward general forest and what you can of the river. Here is a minimap of decent ward locations for eyes.

Team Fights
Before the fight
Be casting nature’s protection on your entire team. When your whole team has +12 armor that really helps!
Engaging
Try to wait for all the enemies to get close together. Then all use your root.
Its good to camouflage in so they don’t know your there and root. Try to get them to a location where you can hide in the trees. Then right as the fight is about to start, then root and trap all their units and hopefully own them there. Remember they can still casts spells.
If you are dying use camoflauge if you can. Use common sense.
Have Fun!!!!!
