The modding team is currently working on the Tombstone Tech Tree.
For info on Tombstone please visit:
    - http://www.newerth.com/wiki/index.php/Main_Page (Tombstone XR section of the wiki)

The Units and most of the Buildings have already been detailed.
Here are the Human & Undead Tech Trees (click for larger image):

Explanations:
- Pictures show Buildings/Units that have 2D Concept Art + 3D Model ready (apart from Medic, Necromancer & Magician).
- Missing pictures show Buildings/Units that have been decided, but have neither 2D Concept Art nor 3D Model done yet.
- ?  pictures show Buildings/Items/Weapons that have not been decided yet.

So now we would like to ask for your help in coming up with ideas for these missing Techs, Weapons & Items.
For each Team, we need at least 3 Tech lines (possibly 4). What I mean by that is equivalents of {electric, magnetic, chemical}  and  {fire, strata, entropy}  in Savage.
Please note that Tombstone will be released with a future version of XR supporting an advanced Physics Engine. Please feel free to come up with "Physics based" ideas (like the gravity gun in HL2).

I will get things started by posting some ideas for the human & undead Teams.

HUMAN TEAM
Techs (I can only think of 2 right now)
   - "Explosives" Tech Line.
   - "Steel" Tech Line.
Weapons
   - A range of basic Guns (Colt 45), Carbines & Rifles.
   - Explosive Bullets Rifle (single round, then charge) (bullet is slower than normal bullets, and leaves a trail).
   - Explosive Bullets Sniper Rifle (single round, then charge) (bullet is slower than normal bullets, and leaves a trail).
   - TNT Charge Launcher (short range, hand-held).
   - Stun Gun: Huge gun throwing large metallic tubes, which unfold into a large cross that stuns ennemies.
Items
   - Whiskey Bottle (restores health).
   - Nitroglycerine Flask (hand-held grenades).
   - Dynamite Charge (similar to explosives in savage).
   - Remote Detonator (player plants one or more dynamite charges, then detonates them remotely).
   - Barb-wire: small section of fence. Ennemies can go through it, but receive damage. Also causes damage when attacked.
   - Spikes: Large metallic 8-folds cross, placed on the ground to block ennemy units.
   - Daisy Cutter: Small turret that automatically fires at nearby ennemy when deployed on the ground.

UNDEAD TEAM
Techs
   - "Disease" Tech Line.
   - "Ice" Tech Line.
   - "Fire" Tech Line.
Undead Towers
  - Plague Obelisk (surrounded by disease cloud that progressively damage nearby ennemies)
  - Frost Obelisk (shields nearby buildings)
  - Inferno Obelisk (flame thrower weapon)
Undead Weapons
  - Plagued body-parts launcher (deals radius damage where it lands)
  - Freezing Breath (the opposite of a flame thrower!)
  - Frost Bolt (damage and slows down target ennemy)
Undead Items
  - Scroll of Teleportation (player returns to base)
  - Web (entangles ennemy unit in a net, slowing it down)
  - Grimoire (increased mana regen rate)
  - Rod of necromancy (target ennemy corpse turns into a zombie npc)
  - Cannibalize (unit regenerates health faster when close to ennemy corpses)
Undead Buffs
  - Disease Cloud (Player surrounded by cloud that deals damage to nearby ennemies)
  - Stone Form (Player slowed down, but heavily protected againt all types of damage)

NPCs:
  - Mohican Villagers (+Tipi props!)

We are gonna need much more ideas than those, so please post your suggestions (if possible specify full Tech Lines, that include the Tech Building+Weapons+Items+Towers). We want to make something truly original, so please do not try to put a hat and mustache on existing Savage Weapons and Items!
Cheers Moh!  Afro

for human team:

3rd tech line: "water/steam"

tower: Steam/fog tower - works like a wind spire

items:
Fog Cloud - an item that can be thrown (like the chaplins potion). it creates a cloud that will either deal damge to enemy units and/or will only blind them (redunce sight to a minimum (dunno if that "selective" blinding is possible)

steam pack - works like frenzy, the player gets a temporary speed boost

weapons:
tier 1: pretty much an iniciator, just with hot steam as weapon
tier 2: Water-thrower: a steady, high-preasure jet of water, kinda like flux
tier 3: hand-held steam catapult: shoots rocks or explosiv grenades, basically a rocket launcher

------------------------------------------------------+-------------------------------------------------------------
EDIT:
buff: steam shield - either it makes the player invisible for a set amount of time or it works like a mag shield

That's a great start Hell, thanks for this mate!
Just as a side note, it would be nice to have one or wo "radically" new ideas.
(That would be weapons or items that you just cant compare to savage because they are conceptually different... I know it's hard to come up with really new ideas!)

How about a support weapon similar to tempest where, if you hit the target, they slow down (maybe a lesser immobilise effect) for 2 (or so) seconds. It would have to do little damage though. Maybe part of your "Ice" techline for the zombs, flavourly it could be as though the coldness slows down the target.

Not sure how balanced it would be, would be a bitch if someone got a shot off on you.

How about the O.K. Corral? What good is a Tombstone mod without it?

(I've actually visited Tombstone myself)

EDIT: Model Ideas?

I liked hell's idea, though i thought that the idea of a watergun was hilarious.

I was thinking, how about Technology and Gunpowder as some different techs?

Techs
   - "Technology" Tech Line.
Since the dawn of time humans have thought of different ways to kill eachother, and the technology tech line is the cream of the engineer's crop. Including weapons that are explosive and downright experimental, these will surely cause the undead to flee.

   - "Steel" Tech Line.
The humans create these weapons for when hand to hand combat is neccesary. Using these weapons will be less useful than the ranged choices, but melee with the undead sometimes becomes inevitable.

   - "Gunpowder" Tech Line
The traditional weapons of the humans have never failed them, and that is why they continue to use them. Harnessing the powers of the gunpowder, humans use this technology for the supreme range weapons.

Weapons:

Technological Weapons (in no particular order):
   - A Gun that is a weird, retro-futuristic machine gun (that is to say, a steam powered machine gun)
   - A Retro-Futuristic Sniper Rifle
   - A Hand Cannon
   - Mohican's Stun Gun idea

Steel Weapons: (in no particular order
I was thinking these are melee weapons?

   - A bayonet knife(Goes on the end of whatever gun) (starting weapon, cannot go on pistols)
   - Pocket knife (Starting weapon)
   - a pickaxe
   - a saber
   - a timber-cutting axe

Gunpowder Tech Line In no particular order

   - a different pistol to technology
   - a shotgun
   - a rifle (perhaps is also best used with a bayonet, gives +damage to the melee?)
   - All sorts of other guns

Stables:
Stables allow the buying of horses for the human team.

Items
   - Whiskey Bottle (restores health). (has no prerequisite, comes with the building that produces these)
   - Nitroglycerine Flask (hand-held grenades).
   - TNT Charge (similar to explosives in savage).
   - Remote Detonator (player plants one or more dynamite charges, then detonates them remotely). <-- These are weaker than TNT Charge
   - Barb-wire: small section of fence. Ennemies can go through it, but receive damage. Also causes damage when attacked. <-- Steel item
   - Spikes: Large metallic 8-folds cross, placed on the ground to block ennemy units. <-- Steel item
   - Daisy Cutter: Small turret that automatically fires at nearby ennemy when deployed on the ground.
   - Fuel Bomb (Its a molotov cocktail).
   - Land mines (But instead of like savage landmines, they are placed underground and are harder to be seen.)

So thats mohican's item list, + my weapon ideas for humans. Hope you like Smiley

Another thing id like to see in this mod is a sort of savage2 uniting system, where one unit is not neccesarily better than the others. For example:

Make the gunslinger a bit faster, but a bit weaker.
Make the mercenary average.
Make the enforcer a bit stronger, and a bit slower.

I know thats more like savage1, but i dont mean as drastically as savage1. What im getting at is that if a gunslinger was to fight an enforcer, they would both have a pretty even chance of winning.

I always thought tombstone (at least originally) was going to be fixed load-out style similar to TF2/Sav2.  Are you guys just copying the savage setup (like in samurai wars) or are the tech lines in addition to the varying unit default load-outs?

Something else i would like to see is that perhaps you cant get all the tech in one game.

By this, i mean that theres a research that must be done and it will excell one technology, and leave the others where they are.

heres an example.

All the weapons and items for each tech have been researched, but with a special research item you can further one technology of your choice in order to get more weapons out of that tech line.
