Shine (Lain), and eoN's Mind_Gambler.

I have no respect or appreciation for commander who bail or have bailed to earn such ridiculous win/loss ratios, and likewise - as a commander it's a cardinal sin to be jumping out mid game to stop a demo going off or spawning in your base to defend tech when you have an entire team to do it for you.  A good commander would mark those attackers on the map or on the field (shift right click etc.).

I thought the game was about winning, not morality.

but seriously, this thread comes up from time to time over the years and its interesting to see which names are floated

one name that comes up often is paci, i think because he quit during his "prime"
don't get me wrong, he was very good, perhaps the best for his time (although dopehustler and samwiser were probably about as good).

The thing that you have to keep in mind though was that savage was a totally different game then: short fuse demos, no building rotation, no real power mining, com only buffs (remember when autobuff was an exploit lol), and a million other things.

there are lots of players who com well tbh and i basically agree with ds' post, but ill just mention a few others who's names haven't come up, mnky_deth: extremely creative and one of the best *match* coms imo (which is a slightly different skill than pub), black orpheus: his chem rush against bt is a savage classic and he's more or less responsible for establishing dm as a top clan, and rdel: now i know some of you are lawlercopter when i say rdel, but i actually know for a fact that he invented many of the strats that are now pub standards

Mnkydeth was great on TS as a comm and i agree with you on Rdel. Also playing for invictus. Cobra was very clear on what he wanted as comm and his plan, very good match commander awell.
