I found this post:
https://www.newerth.com/smf/index.php/topic,4355.0.html

But apaprently it's archived.

I set up a linux server, and it seems to work. When I connect to it in windows I get an error: "Error loading world"

On the server it shows up like this:

Code:
someone from 192.168.1.111 is trying to connect
Client "192.168.1.111" connected, assigned to slot 0
Client 0 set maxPacketSize to 1360
Client 0 set bytes per second to 20000
Client 0 set netframes to 20
Client 192.168.1.111 (num=0, reqname=XR_FirstTimePlayer) disconnected ()

Any ideas where I can post this, or get ideas on why my game isn't loading?

The server was SFE, and the game was downloaded and updated via the website. Maybe it's a versioning issue?

You probably downloaded the latest Savage XR client. It won't work with SFE server.

The old SFE client can be found here: https://www.newerth.com/?id=downloads

PS. You are better off with the latest XR server and client unless you have a reason to setup the old SFE specifically. XR server files can be found here as well: https://www.newerth.com/?id=downloads

I didn't have any reason to do that. Thanks for the link. I'll try that.

Was just trying to get anything to work.
