The new "elementary" mod that is now present in XR is meant to be played once in a while for a bit of fresh fun. As its name suggests, instead of adding more powerful weapons, it attempts at offering a slower, more relaxed but eventful gameplay, especially in the early tiers. As a side note, there are some settings and visuals set to resemble Savage 2.0e.

As this mod hasn't undergone extensive multiplayer testing, it is likely some bugs could be encountered. You may ask "why this mod?". Elementary, my dear Watson. Because Bobbe!

Just so everyone knows how to load a mod...

You can call a vote to load the Elementary mod by typing into game chat:
/callvote mod elementary

Load the Extreme mod by typing into chat:
/callvote mod extreme

As the major gamebreaking bugs have (hopefully) been rooted out, here's some more info about the mod.

Bugs
- Berserker Drive has no animation and HP drain
- Shield towers don't work against summoners
- Nomad build rate is 20 instead of 150 (fix on the way)
- Loadout map not working (fix on the way)

To make future bug reports easier I'll post the welcome message that somehow never made it into the mod

Welcome to the elementary mod! The important changes are:
- Powermining is less effective! [note: your mining rate will be restored at level 5]
- Low tier weapons are less effective!
- Sacrifice is less effective!
- Relocater is less effective!
- Shield Towers are less effective! [note: shield tower makes buildings 2x more durable in this mod]
- Direct Pulse Cannon hits now deal half their original damage against Storm Shield!
- Ballistas shoot burning arrows!
- You can now dodge Behemoth hits!
- Watch out for new items with strange abilities!
- Crossbow and Rabid are now tier 2!
That's about it


Changed items are marked with an [R] and explained inside the mod.
All other changes (e.g. Healing Spire not Shooting Chaos bolt) are just the old classic savage settings. A lot of work has been put into these changes and they range all the way from (combat) "feeling" to visuals.

i liked the mod bobbe, but it also seems to me bugged with the arrows sometimes they go straight into the air other times they are delayed. The flamethrower at humans(dunno the name) is how it was earlier right? cuz i think i remember playing beta times with that wep and it didnt suck as hard as it does in later patches.
BTW i also had lagg when i tried it, so that might b the reason

Played it last night. Graphically it's very well done. But balance wise it's hard to understand some changes. Basically it feels like a lot of fun things were removed and not much was put in their place, and humans got the worst end of it.

Would like to see a more melee focused mod, though, but I'd suggest more trap like items, throwables, mobility items etc, and maybe just remove all ranged items.

In my opinion it's okay to add mods even when they're a bit crude.. Some players actually like the mod and the beauty of the voting system makes that it's not overplayed! (hopefully)

I played it and I liked some changes and some I didn't, all in all 7/10.


I'm all in for adding NABmob!

Also bring back football wars, deathmatch and the raceing things!!
