Everybody agrees that chaps lack survivability. I don't see how making them vulnerable while reviving helps that cause Smiley.

I can't see why you're ignoring the main idea. chaps's invulnerability only saves them 1-2 seconds
but if they wouldn't have to reveal themselves or go right into the heart of battle. that's definitely
Surviving.

Perhaps we could shorten the revive duration for chaps, and/or add a stacking healing regen effect to potions, although i don't think that's possible w/o additional coding.

I have to agree each way it goes, we'll need enormous amounts of effort/work put atleast codingwise.
To answer that "relocator is enough" argue. I'm not against giving chaplains a relocator/5th item slot unlocked. Yet relocating after each revive during a fight is a ridiculously "big play" as they say in hon. wherease shamans can do immense work with leaps, and hold their ground. well i made my point clear with help of necro, thanks to him. we need a way to increase of chaps' effectivity, as it's very obvious.

Please dont post here if you wont contribute it, except crashday that's amazing.

I was always wondering why the heal weapon has no AoE effect like surge for example. Perhaps it is even possible then to heal yourself when hitting the ground with it. Another improvement would be more moving speed or for example sprint burst enabled for chaplains. Just some ideas, what do you think?

Sprint burst = Chem buff like effect?
Closest thing that I can think of that fits the words "sprint burst"

Sprint burst = Sprinting speed depends on stamina. For examle: With full stamina double sprint speed, with half stamina normal sprint speed. Change the value p_sprintBurst to 1 and you'll see what I mean. I don't know if it is possible to limit this skill to only one unit like chaplain. The human_medic.object file doesn't contain any p_sprintBurst option though...

Afaik (and i suck when it comes to servers), "p_" cvars are server-only cvars, practically affecting everything in the game.
