Suggested by: Stepanma01

My re-balancing suggestion:
Sixth Sense Remake

1. The precise change you wanna see done.
Change the sixth sense buff from the faint red line above enemies to a thermal-scope like view (slightly like the one thatís in Call of Duty: MW2, but not fully like it)
Image:

Enemies can be painted a red colour, while the terrain can stay the same textures as normal (basically saying having sixth sense re-textures enemies another, vibrant colour rather than their usual skins)

2. What triggered it.
Sixth sense and the entropy line are hardly used at all, and the shrine for it is only really built to enable the building of free gates.

3. The predicted overall effect of your change.
This would make sixth sense a much more used beast weapon as it will help marksmen hit their targets more easily and will be a beast counter-response to the humanís superior ranged weaponry.

The impact on the game:

4. What will be harder to do, and for which side.
The only thing that will be harder to do is beast melee for the user of sixth sense, as the whole human will be one texture, it will be hard to see what they are doing until the player is used to it

5. What will be easier to accomplish, and by whom.
It will be easier to use beast weaponry like lightning and tempest, as well as helping melee predators (if they use it) to seek out any humans that are hiding/sneaking by them.

6. Will it make the game harder or easier for newbies (vs. veterans), and why.
This will make the game much easier for newbies against veterans as they can more easily find them, this may though be nullified by the fact that veterans can see them more easily and as a result hit them too.

The ripple effect

7. Subsequent changes needed to tone down (compensate for) the effects of this change.
Switch sixth sense with snare, or make them both tech 2 and individually available on the tech line (donít need one to get the other). Also make sixth sense more expensive as it is very cheap right now, about 400 to 800 maybe.

8. Other changes, which the current suggestion depends on so it can work properly.
None that can be thought of at the time.

No question, 6th sense needs an improvement!

Maybe give it a pulsating effect, as this fits better to Entrophy, IMO.
But I like the idea!

6th sense is more than good enough atm, imo...
For me frenzy and 6th sense are standard equipment  Afro

(with standard I don't mean I'm using it all the time, I mean I'm using it, unless [...])

I don't think the crosshair would fit to the graphical design of Savage.
I don't like the idea of "help campers camp more". Smiley
And I'm fairly certain that entropy will not appear more often just because of this.

what Xab said, except that it would be nice if sensors had got a red beam too

What 6th sense may need is being able to display enemies' health, and switch its position with Snare.

That sounds great, potentially overpowering...but giving snare that power seems a worthy enough buff to warrant getting entropy first.

Seriously, officer targeting + sixth sense = a potent mix.

What I'm really meaning with this suggestion is to just provide the re-texture of enemy players(or something that will make them far more easy to spot). The crosshairs and filter of gray is just part of the example image. Just wanted to show how easy the enemies are to spot with a simple re-texture.

I'm also thinking that it (sixth sense) or something else should be the equivalent to the sensors ability to reveal invisible enemies to towers/spires because atm with BvB games (when they do happen) beasts can happily sac each other as spires can't see misted saccers no matter what.

Revive old topic!
I think for rebalance 6sense it could be good to hear more ennemies movement, so you can hear a lego before you see it with 6sense

It's a good idea.
IMO Sixth Sense it's a bit useless for beast:
Humans have to use Sensor to guard Beasts gates.
Beasts don't have this kind of probleme

I like the idea to see hiden human easely. It's remenber me "Jedi Knight II".
In this game Jedi can use the power of "Vision".
It made the skin of ennemy covered by an halo, this halo can be see behind wall.

Imagine: Tempest + Mana Cristal + Frenzy + Rebalanced Sixth Sense   Evil

Useless as sixth sense doesn't have the same range of temp... Actually very much less ^^

6th sense was discussed and changes were made. Now it marks enemies with low HP in a small area around you. Not decided how close of a radius or how low HP, not even the way it marks (regular attack beam w/ different color, unit texture shading/coloring etc).

I don't see the point of changing Sixth Sense.
