By default I believe 3dsmax smoothes in/out of transformations, this gives you an accelerating start and a decellerating end, which is no good for loops.
You have to match the handles on the transformation curves to make sure the motion is changing at the same rate (linearly in this case) at the beginning/end of the animation.
For a windmill, you'll want some linear tangents!

I've been playing Ns2 for a while now and it's great! It's basically all I'm playing at the moment, I recommend it.
It has a lot in common with Savage, Commanders for each team, structure/base building, resource gathering (resource points more like Savage2), Melee/ranged combat, satisfying teamplay (or option to rambo pubstomp with a pred-like unit known as the Fade).
It gets significant updates every 2 weeks, well worth purchasing.

This is very nice indeed Cheesy
7  Archive / Modding Forum / Re: Model Bone Question on: April 19, 2011, 02:38:22 am
Do it all again in max8? That error makes me think you need to re-physique your mesh, maybe your bones are being renamed on import.
Or try .obj instead of .fbx

I'm still not entirely clear on your process, could you create a step-by-step dot point list of what you're doing up until the error?

If all else fails, use the Notausgang Overhead Generator.

As for the Crop Tool in Gimp, look for general Gimp tutorials in a search engine, and learn the basics of the program.
We provide Savage-related guides, a little knowledge in the programs used in our guides is required before you can get any real use from them.

I'm trying to get everyone on board for a proper changelog, it is seriously needed.

This is a fascinating thread about Melee combat. I really enjoyed the part about how, melee was (and still is), closely intertwined with the Ballista siege unit.

Thank you all for another informative insight into the Ballista's relationship with the melee combat of Savage.

Gotta start somewhere.
Look through the map list of any of the decent mappers, and you'll see their stuff get better with each map.
I made some horrible stuff at the start, but I learned how to use the editor so it was worth it.

Those were the days. I remember the first few games on that, 32vs32 people in 15 square meters of space duking it out.
