Honestly in a way it's not unreasonable as the current incarnation of s2games had virtually nothing to do with the making of the original two titles.
Yeah, I guess you're right. The only tie that remains between them is the word "Newerth", which sadly has been battered to meaninglessness. Maybe one day some us can show up outside their office rioting for Savage 3.
Thinking about it, if a game like Savage were released by a company with a big reputation today, it might just become a hit. Which would, of course, bring about a wave of imitators just like it happened with FPSs, MMOs and now MOBAs. And while I'm day-dreaming, I'd also like The Elder Scrolls to stop having ten thousand copy-pasted dungeons.
