I think I did a 96x96 again but I can't remember 100% I started this a long time ago. I am certain it is not a 124x124

6  Savage XR / First generation changes / Re: DISCUSS: Balancing Philosophy ~ An Open and General Discussion on: September 25, 2013, 07:25:46 am
well this thread is ancient but to answer your question.

shamans have leap which makes "reviving" easier. their healing is burst large heal, single shot. their alt item is a shield beam that reduces damage to units AND buildings. their melee is a hammer lending little repair capabilities.

chaplains have block, allowing them to take more hits, with skill. their healing is a beam that heals in smaller more rapid burst, more forgiving on the accuracy side. their item is a pot that allows SELF HEALING. and their melee is the fastest swings per second allwoing them to build and repair faster (also mine).

the imbalance was originally that shammies would get the "beast healer" award more often because they could revive better and that is what the award arbitrarily tracked. this has been fixed and now it is based on healer exp and healer exp is tracked on stats. healer exp does more with a chaplain or shamans overal ability to heal allies and it's pretty even so far.

question answered.

hmm well I like MOST of the images.

bruce lee

there are some that I never uderstood why they weren't...

easy fixes:
bob the builder - seriously think they would bust us on copy rights if we used an image of bob the builder? we got bugs bunny in there.
Reaper's Best buddy - a dude hanging out with the reaper?
Best commander - I think if the king chess piece was a little more prominent that would be awesome, though I would still think the stars of a 5 star general is also good.
Dracula - is that seriously the best/iconic image of dracula we could find?

8  Savage XR / General Savage XR Discussion / Re: carn vs rabid on: September 16, 2013, 07:05:49 pm
to each his own, rabid and carn have different styles.

with carn you can afford to take a block as a pred because your next swing will make it through and heal you. you have enough stamina to leap at least once you'll be fine and if not frenzy can solve that problem. and I can tell you that I have spun wildly in a group of 4-6 legos and killed them all, honestly one of my favorite things to do.

with carn the objective is to conserve stamina and find easy sources of healing, like a catapult.

with rabid you can not afford to miss or be blocked as that is pretty much a license for the humies to start free swinging you. that is of course accomplished by stamina regen on hit and contantly moving. because the regen is passive you can heal up between battles and just use NPCs on the way to help you move faster. it is still possible to take on multiple targets but this is again almost entirely dependent on not getting blocked.

the objective with rabid is to kill quickly and move on.

of course the best weapon option would be tempest and Ane said. if you are honestly good enough to use rabid at a high sucess rate then you should easily be able to land 3-4 temps and just melee the humie to death. temp also allows you to engage your openent from farther away oposed to waiting for humies to come to you or taking a heal cause you got coiled 5 times before getting into melee range.

and a special shout out to venom, 1 hit kills on nomads level 1-8

12  Savage XR / General Savage XR Discussion / Re: Competition: XR Practice Duel Map on: June 03, 2013, 08:10:17 am
getting a map together without triggers shouldn't take too long, but I do have one question

what kind of "practices" would this entail? blocking, dodging, leaping, shooting, obstacle course, king of the hill, flag cap, etc etc.

it has been like that since revive was introduced 9 years ago, you can also kill a beast by disrupting wards he placed during revive.

it is ONLY from the mine/wards YOU drop that will kill you.

@Necrofears Nice that you came by and showed the bad attitude I was talking about.

Are you scared to embarrass yourself if you try to help someone who then turns out he's nicklaming? "Oh no, it's a nicklamer, my life is over."

And you can usually easily see early on when someone is new, not only on their score. How they move, getting killed by NPCs often, how they can barely hit anything, not buying items.

no, I was just trying to get you to say that. You started this with "The US server is horrible" and somehow expect to get a reasoned and calm response from anyone that plays on the US server? Your shit headedness wrapped in righteous indignation is easy to expose.

so Iíll just add one more coal to this fire.

What did YOU do about this? as much as you might think you're not part of the problem you weren't part of the solution that day either you just made it a bigger problem than it ever needed to be.
15  Savage XR / General Savage XR Discussion / Re: The US server is horrible on: April 22, 2013, 01:32:57 pm
yea I'm a jackass so?.... oh this isn't about me, down ego down.

I mean if you don't want to deal with shit talkers on the internet why don't you play.............. (hey anyone got a game with no shit talkers? seriously I just thought thats how kids communicate these days)

oh I know play rainbows and lollypops online... whats that... really, unicorns up the ass you say... nevermind.

on a serious note:

as a vet I generally don't "help" people unless they ask. the reality is that there are a lot fo aliases and many xr_fistimeplayers are in fact vets in disguise. the only real way to know that someone is in fact a true nub is their 4-37 K/D and by that point all your arguments are pointless. the only thing i can really do is make other vets lives miserably annoying as much as possible and let the noobs fight eachother.
