But tell me this: Why would anyone spend the time working on horrendously old and messy tech to bring in further improvements to a game that nearly no one wants to play anymore?
Good question.
Nobody is being forced to develop this game anymore. If "abstract you" are not interested to develop - don't do it and that's it. The back side of this question that nobody else who could help can gain an access because most of you would say "no".

Idk who is MegaBD.

Let's be honest: this game is way past its shelf life. The last many years it is kept alive by volunteers, which are just keeping it alive.
Let's be honest: people are still playing and are interested in this game. There are even some of the devs that would help to fix or update something.
And let's be honest that you are nearly no longer interested in supporting this "half-dead game and community" and you don't want and don't allow to share the sources with the others  Wink Your position is clear - let it rather die than it would have a chance to be improved.

I doubt you will ever get the bug fixes you are looking for, because there is barely any coding done nowadays.

There are some of the useful commands for me when I run my local server for the debug:

set svr_name #svr_name#"        ^900(DEBUG)"
set svr_broadcast 0

set sv_refereePassword 111
set sv_refGodPassword 222
set svr_adminPassword 333

set g_allUnitsAvailable 1
set g_allWeaponsAvailable 1
set sv_allowEnemySameIP 1   //  <-- this is that you need
set sv_infiniteGold 1
set sv_infiniteResources 1
set sv_balancedTeams 0
set sv_fastTech 1

set sv_commSpawnSiege 1

Could I ask you to remove the rain? Smiley (would be less laggy for somebody)

Does anyone know if there is a command to disable rain on clients?  Rolleyes

Alternatively, how can I disable rain showing up on the map?
The only thing I know that on the client you can do commands like /rain or /snow to toggle it.

Hi drk,

I just followed your steps and they worked fine, which is not what you want to hear  Sad

So...
  * What OS you using?
  * uname -ar
  * flatpak --version
  * flatpak-builder --version
  * flatpak remotes
I keep trying these tests on the VM with Ubuntu 18.

Quote
igor@ubuntu:~$ uname -ar
Linux ubuntu 4.15.0-33-generic #36-Ubuntu SMP Wed Aug 15 16:00:05 UTC 2018 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
igor@ubuntu:~$ flatpak --version
Flatpak 0.99.3
igor@ubuntu:~$ flatpak-builder --version
flatpak-builder 0.99.3
igor@ubuntu:~$ flatpak remotes
Name            Options
flathub         user
my-flatpak-repo user,no-gpg-verify
igor@ubuntu:~$

Update: I got it. It's about the directories.
Last time I was installing from ~/Downloads/sav/unofficial-savage-xr-flatpak
This time I was doing it from the new folder: ~/sav/...
If I copy it back to the old route it works fine.

Tried to test install:
Steps:

- git clone https://gitlab.com/sea-eye-aya/unofficial-savage-xr-flatpak.git
- make (successful)
- make install (error)
Quote
igor@ubuntu:~/sav/unofficial-savage-xr-flatpak$ make install
flatpak --user remote-add --no-gpg-verify --if-not-exists my-flatpak-repo my-flatpak-repo
flatpak --user install my-flatpak-repo org.newerth.savagexr/i386
error: Unable to load summary from remote my-flatpak-repo: Remote listing for my-flatpak-repo not available; server has no summary file. Check the URL passed to remote-add was valid.

Make sure you have uninstalled the "unofficial" GitLab version, as they use the same Application ID.
Is this a reason for my error? What should I do? I've only deleted old ~/.var folder by hands.

Thanks for reply.

I cloned git repo, invoke make in directory with donwloaded files. There's this error message and build fails: Failed to download sources: module libGLU: Unsupported URI scheme ?ftp?

PS: Why you didn't release flatpaked version of game?
It's not finished yet. We still are testing it. You can try manually to wget those urls with zips/libs.
