Dzine,

Get anything you're working on uploaded to the database.  When you think it's ready, then set it for the final check.  There are currently 24 maps waiting for the final check, but I'm going to start digging through them.

I teach public schools, and we're starting back up this week.  I'll do what I can to still keep tabs on stuff.
I've been busy these last few days, later tonight I should be able to upload some.

Most mapadmins are busy with life (studying etc) or with XR.

I appreciate and understand that you must defend your fellow admins but there is no excuse for it. There hasn't been a single map uploaded since last year. For future notice,  Please do not derail this thread. It is about the map, not intended to be an argument. Thank you

Actual  map file and overhead are attached.

This'll be my last map as I see that the admins do not care about the community supporting the game with new maps. Every server plays the exact same maps every day (p2r, 2castles, bunker, etc) and if my work isn't going to be uploaded I see no point in continuing it.

Let me know what you think though. I honestly think this is my best map yet.

gfx_farclip is set at 2777 to allow sniping

Layer 3 button is not set, it does nothing.
Layer 3 WORKS, you just have to enable it manually.
I would've thought En's gui would've fixed something so trivial.

ya.. the command would be helpful.. is it fixed in the oriignal editor?
nobody has really told me how to fix rough texturing though @_@

The bridge I can fix with a small_stonearch. I wasnt raelly worried about that yet as the map isnt finalized. Im having some real problems with texturing. it's a real pain I'll explain more when I talk to you. . If I can get some help from you on msn or aim? could you leave your contact information?

Yeah, I was worried about the hill side next to the lair/sh. I'm thinking of blocking it off completely, that would make the mossbridge more useful.

As for the texturing, I just learned how to make textures smooth into eachother so cut me some slack, ill fix it Tongue Cheesy

You shouldn't extract it.  What I have attached to the above post is the s2z already...  note it's called xr_amazon.s2z.

ya i know but when im downloading it, the file extension isn't .s2z, and when I change folder options to make it show the extension, nothing shows up.

 I can't load the map either

I've been working on this map for a few days now and I really enjoy it. This is my first map with a flag. I usually have real problems with putting a flag in the map as it causes huge balancing issues between the teams, but I think i found a nice medium here.

The uploaded file is not a valid map file! { 2715 }



Can someone else try to upload a map with customized triggers and effects and see if it will let you?
I dont have any maps with custom triggers and effects, however I did download your map file in an attempt to upload it to see if it worked for me, but when I extracted xr_amazon, it was a folder, not a .s2z file. Which struck me as odd because usually my world s2z files are in a .rar
