I have experienced 4 hits for demo A LOT in the last 5 months, the problem is certainly there. Doesnt matter with which unit I hit it, nor the level I am.

This is true. I saw this bug happening a lot, and it happened regularly (easily more than once per day). Some 4-5 months ago. I heard the same complaints from numerous other players. It happened both on Pulse and on GK.

What confuses me is that at some point over the span of these 4-5 months it went from "very regularly" to "very rarely". Not sure why; may be the frequency of this bug is my subjective perception based on my activity. I did gradually go inactive.

    Warrior has tied with 1 point vs KS and Warrior vs KS ended in a tie. We have not played a tiebreaker, so this should put us on a shared seventh place with KS. Valli however disagrees in this post and on skype:

    According to the rules, tied teams are allowed to play a tiebreaker. But the rules do not require them to play it:
    #12. Ladder position:

    -KS- could only be ranked higher in the case if the Warrior clan agreed to play the tiebreaker and then did not show up for it. However, no Warrior representatives accepted the offer to play the tiebreaker in the public forum threads. -KS- leaders (I spoke with Jegenrapo and sorel) do not claim that any Warrior representatives accepted the offer in private communication either.

    As a result, -KS- and Warrior should share the same rank in the final NSL ranking table. Telvek and valli, could you please update the rankings?


    On a side note, all of the above is mostly an unfortunate result of miscommunication and late scheduling. On the one hand, I know that certain Warrior members would love to play tiebreaker but the scheduling attempts only started 2-3 days ahead of the suggested match time, and it was impossible to make. On the other hand, seeing how things turned up, -KS- leaders confirmed that they don't mind sharing the same NSL rank with the Warrior clan. There is no hostility on either of the sides.

    Well, that cannot inherently be the source of the inbalance since its the same for both teams.
    But the teams are asymmetric, so you can not claim this.

    This stat is pretty meaningless; just think that kinixxx alone has been played 4416 times as of now - and we all know thats a heavily beast sided map due to the extreme cover for buildings and the vicinity of possible spawnpoints (SH to flag or Lair to flag).
    Any yet humans are leading on stats with 2250 wins against 1806 wins? A heavily beast sided map ought to show at least a slight bias towards the beast team in stats...

    I also hate the spawning system, that lets players back on the battlefield in waves every 30 secs. I think a fixed death timers (like in LoL) would be more logical. It is just stupid when you kill a defender of an outpost, he might respawn a few secs after. If a combat unit "dies" the enemy team should have a short, but realiable window to exploit the numbers advantage.
    But this gets us back to Tirza's initial point. As far as I can tell, the shorter respawn timers are more helpful for the beast team than for the human team.

    Conclusion: It appears that beast are winning much more lately.
    That actually is inline with my feeling.

    Here are the recent stats. The stats are weird, since the human team seems to be stacked most of the time. I'm biased since I nearly never play in T1 anymore, but the reason for that is that for many years I used to always join the weaker team. Human stacks eventually made me a beast player (an ironic label for myself).

    The best explanation I heard recently is that - human players are much more likely to play for stats. Whereas beasts have a better incentive to play for the win.

    Then why can't I find an official announcement for it? I went to S2games homepage and there wasn't any mention of it. I tried a google search and again, reddit fan pages.

    If someone has a link to an official source, I would love to see it. I would love to allow myself to feel excited about this.

    I think that all we know this far is in this newerth forum thread (look for posts by S2Maliken and s2jesse; we do know that S2Maliken is the real one, since he's been around this forum for many years).

    Nope, the registration has not started yet.
    As of now, only "preparations" have started. At this point, the clans that are represented in the Clans Quorum can discuss and change NSL rules and server settings. The sign ups for NSL will be opened on March 28 (according to valli's schedule post).

    P.S. Where can I got those drugs you are using?

    Anyway, the Clans Quorum is an entity that is separate from NSLs. For example, the Pirate clan played in NSL6 without having any access to the Clans Quorum. If you follow Tasty's advice, and not care about applying to the Clans Quorum, then you might follow in their footsteps.

    Someone has to set up a vote in the Clans Quorum whether -KS- should be admitted (which is basically: whether they can be perceived as a serious clan, such us their ability to turn up for CWs with enough players). I suspect both Tasty and me could create such a vote, if only doing that would be as exciting as posting crap in this thread.

    Server password is going to be announced in public servers.
    Announcing the password in public servers is a good idea to increase the server population on Sunday evenings. On the other hand, it will also mean that the public server will die at 19GMT. Overall, is that good or bad? It's hard to tell.

    But you should also consider posting the password somewhere here, in the forum (with a bit of delay if you wish). There is always someone sitting in public server specs and asking for a password, regardless of whether it's their clan match or just a PuG match. You will make these people happy.

    Furthermore, is a password even needed nowadays? The main reason to switch servers is because you want to enforce PuG rules, and you can not do that on a public server. The main reason a password was used in the past is to keep the newbs out; but we don't have a lot of newbs around anymore. If this claim is true, then the password would only split the (already small) population of players in two parts on Sunday evenings, only to keep out the 1-2 players who joined Savage for the first time that evening. There should be better ways to handle this, especially if you can get a ref password for the match server.

    Groentjuh's Match #2
    This seems to be a German server. You should consider using one of the UK servers (I believe those are #4 and #5) if you want to get more US players. As someone from US west coast, I get 30+ more ping on server #2, as compared to servers #4 or #5. Likewise, I get 40+ ping on public German servers (Pulse and G&G) as opposed to GK. For me this is the difference of Savage being "still playable" (<155 ping) vs. unplayable (185+ ping). I am an unlikely participant in PuG matches, so I am not advocating for myself here, but you might want to discuss this with other US players.
