1  Savage XR / General Savage XR Discussion / Re: Hello from the past on: April 05, 2019, 10:02:29 am
I have many old demos.  Unfortunately, there seems to be no way to play the demos now, since EX2 does not run on current versions of windows and XR does not play the old demo files.

I also have shoutcast that Daolin and Gaotman did of the season 1 finals, but it isn't too interesting to listen to by itself without the demo also playing.

paci!!! I love you. Can you share the demos with me? I will find a way lambda_20558 PM me

paci! <3 Hope you've been well too, old friend Smiley I did indeed miss the bandwagon, and apparently the wagon is nowhere to be found now Sad Did they completely shut down that version of the game? If so that's a shame...it just needed some real promotion and could have easily gained players from the likes of LoL, Fortnite, and other games. Who knows, maybe someday it will?

I always wondered if anyone had old demos or screenshots from our league matches back in the day. Those were some amazing times.

If there's ever another Resurrection, ping me and I'll make sure I don't miss it again Beast Frenzy

You might remember me, though many probably don't. I was a member of -a-, otherwise known as Affliction (https://www.savagexr.com/gameplay.html), during the heyday of Savage 1 and had a blast playing that game, and as I was reminiscing I wondered who is still around from those days and also what Savage game anyone is still playing now!

I am trying to see if sleepwalker still has a bunch of our demos on his server. Will let you all know if there are any more to upload. Glad to see people are still playing  Smiley

Hey everyone, just wanted to say that I'll be returning to Savage this fall, so it'll be nice to see some familiar faces from nearly 8 years ago along with all the new players that have joined since.

Team Affliction lives on! Cheesy

p.s. If I happen to find any old -a- demos I'll post them!

Wow, paci and swalker alive?  What are you kids up to these days?  I've been playing Quake Live...I see kwong and ttocs a lot in that.  So I'm not entirely sure about coming back to Savage yet...I still love the game but I think more people would need to come back to really make me want to stay.

Hi, want any affliction demos?

Sure, if you've got some Smiley  I used to have quite the collection too.

Hi all, was bored and decided to check out the S2Games website to see what was shaking with Savage 2 these days.  Well, from what I can gather it seems the answer is "not much".  But a few lucky link clicks brought me here, and I am amazed at the level of commitment to Savage 1.  Just looking at screenshots and map overviews makes me nostalgic  Sad

On the sad note, I deleted the game a few years ago, including all of my config files, screenshots, and demos Sad  But I still have the memories at least.  Plus it shouldn't take long to get everything set up again on my swanky new laptop Shocked

One thing I noticed though is that most of the teams still playing svg1 are in Europe.  If there are any others from back in the day reading this who are on the fence like me about getting back into playing, please chime in!
