Title: READ BEFORE YOU POST
Post by: hell' on November 20, 2009, 04:36:35 pm
HomeWrecker
With my newly instilled powers as a global mod, any topics from this point out (April 6th, 2010) that include a bug report, random complaining about the servers being down or whatever will be removed or locked as i see fit.

If you have a bug to report, Make your way here, and post it on a forum that can do something about it. (http://forums.heroesofnewerth.com/forumdisplay.php?f=4)
If you're having issues with the game, Ask here first (http://forums.heroesofnewerth.com/forumdisplay.php?f=4) before you come to us for help.
If you're here to beg for an invite, The game is now Open Beta (http://www.heroesofnewerth.com/) so you shouldn't have any trouble getting in.
If you hate s2 and wish to complain, do it here. (http://forums.heroesofnewerth.com/index.php)

Take note that Newerth.com is a fansite and not the official S2Games / HoN forums. Any responses to your topics or posts are that of individuals who enjoy the game just as much as you do and hold almost no ties to S2 Games.

I am seriously fed up with all the one or two line threads with the title "help"!

Many people come here and make a post like this:

Hi, i have problem with HoN -.- When i try to join a game HoN is crashing...

If you are looking for help on this forums, I'd like you to consider a few things:

1. Please use the search function - chances are rather high that your problem has been encountered by someone else and a solution was already found.
2. In case you didn't find a thread about your problem, you can start a new one.
3. Use a problem-specific title - not just "help", "help pl0x", or something similar.
4. In your thread, give as much information as possible - describe the problem that you encounter and quote/screenshot error messages - tell us about the things you already tried to solve the problem.
5. Please give information on the version of the game / installer and where you downloaded it from.
6. The same goes for information about your hardware and operating system.
7. Do not expect people to answer your thread within 15 minutes - a post like this [just 25 minutes after your first post] is not really helping:

:x :x :x WTF!!! still no answers...?  :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :| :x :?

The more information you provide and if you really used search function, chances are rather high that people are willing to help you.
