1) Would take too much time.
2) Would result in about 10-20% less FPS.
I can tell you what would I would need to do in order to make this mod, though: make 100 images of your health corresponding to current health percentage.
If you're willing to make those 100 images, modding them into mod won't be a problem.

Okay i tried it finally, everything is fine, except my ping is lower with old versions of your stuff - [Old gui, "melee fix"], and when i bring up scoreboard, fps goes from 125 - 7  :|, my comp is shit though so probably my fault.

Only bugs i noticed were when you chose the experimental bars you can see the hp bar outline  in the lobby, and they aren't next to the character, rather quite above them [don't know if this was intentional..first time i tried it] anyway for now i'll leave it, but nice job on the crosshair part + nice comments next to each option in game makes it easy to see what does what.

Can you make another option similar to this?

Remove the big blue and red bars at sides. Keep the numbers and add a small health/stamina icon next to each number. Standard health icon for health and maybe a small icon of a blue guy running for stamina.

Gonna try your comm gui today and see if I got some improvement suggestions.

for the nest relase can u change it so that it reads as sfe* :( as on home servers you can not connect while using this mod (dunno why), the server thiunk that u aint using SFE and even when the force septhing is off you still can not connect as it says to download the latest verion

tho a amazing mod well done :D

ive had sort of a idea (not a very good one like) and dont know how hard it would be to implement, i realy dout it would be able to be done here as it would require a slight item change maybe but for commanders and players on human side to see a circle of where the sensor's cover, so a more full senor grid can be made if that makes any sense  :?

Im sorry if this may have already been brought up and I like the mod overall buuuut.... Did you do something to the aiming system? My shots seem to lag now and theyll shoot right through people and not count as a hit. Coil feels like it lags and all my accuracies have gone down.... Dunno maybe my savage just got messed up when I installed this but its caused me a lot of aiming problems.

Lol. If we acted like this when making XR then we would have big problems. Just because the fps doesn't drop for you doesn't mean it doesn't drop for other people. The fact that more then one person has reported it has lowering their fps is evidence enough for me that there is a problem somewhere.

Enliven, just because we don't all do exactly what you say every time you make your demands does not mean that we ignore bugs that obviously exist. Also there are a few bugs that have not been addressed due to having this magical thing called priorities. We like to fix bugs that cause crashes/make the game unplayable rather then doing the things you demand.

Please, feel free to prove me wrong and show me where we have ignored a user posting a bug just because we don't get it.

Revoking my XR access a day ago without reason didn't really help anything as well, lol.

jaguar, the issue with your argument there is that there are no graphical changes whatsoever at default

there is even an option to optimize it for fps, if you want to.

FPS is not only determined by graphics. The gui(default) will actually cause a slight change to the fps. Anything can cause a FPS drop. Could be an SFE or XR bug causing the FPS drop, could be the gui. The fact is that there must be a change if more then one person has posted about it.

Instead of flagging the mod as flawless maybe you could try and work out why some people experience a FPS drop?

Is there a way to get the officer flags back in the mini map so I know where the officers are which is important as an example if an officer is in an area I know he should be able to hold his own longer or scout better or whatever compared to a noob and I can delay going there etc...

UPDATE :  ok  I was getting all sorts of strange stuff so I decided to do a fresh install and everything is working now.
My ping dropped a little also from high 60 to high 50 on the leet USA server which is nice.   Plays smoother with the net code opt on for sure and my lag spikes are not as brutal (still get a lot but instead of a 2 second freeze it is more like half a second)

It shouldn't be very hard to port the mod to mac. However, I have no experience with MacOS, so I'm unable to do so.

This has nothing to do with En. It would be a step in the wrong direction, simple. En doesn't even want it in XR as he stated in the XR forums. The stuff this mod does is already done in XR or is planned to be done, but better. Except his gui which can be downloaded and installed easily enough.

It would be a good idea to implement his GUI, since XR doesn't look like a big new thing without visual changes including the GUI. If you don't implement it, please add at least Stamina in digits, same as in the default GUI below the health bar. This is just a 'must have' for beast players.

The only thing i use from your mod is a GUI, in game I have a problem with contrast/gamma (not GUI itself, but enviroment grafics). After this mod/GUI instalation everything goes more darker and borders between shadows and light are so sharp that some maps (especially these with more shadows) are barely playable. Increasing gamma manualy in options menu after map loading improves this a bit, but does not help with sharp dark/ligth borders at all. I am sure that this is mod/GUI bug - clasical SFE stand-alone game instalation works very well.

actually the beast armor texture is the same texture like the scavanger, just saved in another folder. means play with the scav texture and save it into the game/beast/armor folder. make sure you use the same name like the s2g file there :)

And why when I put the opt.netcode thing on on opt I start lagging more often when I switch items, or fight or do almost anything? I tried to put it on ex2 and I lag less tho..

This is prolly discontinued for unknown period, don't have time tbh.
This mod will work with XR with slight bugs and without some features, there can be a version that is fully compatible with XR in the future, but I can't guarantee anything as I don't even play sav.

I actually play with Prestige, v2.1 bars and Runic style. The experimental bars are great but they should be closer together in my opinion. Something like having them in the crosshair background as two half circles could work better (just where I'm mostly looking at).

Not for me, a friend that doesn't have XR. Most specifically I'm talking about the low.cfg and the ex2 melee. He replaced the savage.exe and the game.dll but the graphics haven't lowered or changed at all.

This mod pack contains 5 savage mods:

2) low.cfg mod, with extended controls.
3) ex2 melee mod, which should really be called netcode mod.

ok.. I remember the cfg and the ex2 melee mod, before you made this rmod were config files, yet I don't get any when I download the rmod to see if they are there. There are 3 files, savage.exe, game.dll, and the gui9.s2z

3) Options

Everything basically about the GUI options, and how to change the FPS and ping alignment.

4) Explaining Options
Again some GUI, mostly about commander upgrades/tweaks

I'm sorry if I'm somehow annoying you by asking you these questions Enliven, and I'm sorry but I'm not that good with computers so...

He didn't put the gui9.s2z as he and I figured it was just for the different guis that you've provided with this mod.

Omg! Haaalp!

I installed it as Shagroth suggested on MSN, i was awed when reading readme, well, after installation (followed exact instructions) and running game from Savage.exe and setting GUI to Enliven's latest (also used low graphics settings and net opt.) my lobby screen is totally gone, not sure if there's more bugs, here's how my lobby looks like:

That's not necessary. Just add a different crosshair style that signals when the opponent you're aiming at is out of range.

On ranged weapons there is a feeling when target is in range, but for ballista and summs mostly, somewhere heard that 220 or so m to target need for ballista shots.

Meh, no luck for Macs.

If you could find a way to mess around with the game.dylib file though, it would probably work.

I've gotten it working on a mac cutter :D
I've also gotten XR working on my mac, but haven't found a way to get this mod working with XR yet..

i just noticed you are using Savage XR.
XR is not supported by this mod..
it will not work with XR..
there is currently work being done in making this mod work with XR.. it hasn't been released yet.

since en is taking his time to make his next xr-reincarnation pack as perfect as it can possible be, i decided to merge his old one into xr for the time being.

he propably won't like me for that because i castrated some of it a bit down.
i deleted all guis except for en's v5 and the standard one. all the customizations can still be done. the netcode and graphic improvement thingy is gone as well as the *.exe replacements.
i didn't bother to debug and delete obsolete menu entries since i made that one for myself and it's working for me.

please don't ask me to do improvements on that because i won't.

download, unpack, copy in your ..\savage xr\game\  directory and enjoy!

edit: the gui seems to have problems with the loadout on x-roads, but this seems to be an xr-issue as i normally get the jpeg-error there...

Something whrong with minimap. If i want it in left down corner not work. i use "move player_minimap_panel 6 585" .  And also some minimap icons broken.
