Howdy gents! I recently installed Savage again and it's awesome! But there's one problem! The in-game music doesn't play. Cry I have the music volume turned up so it should be playing.

This case has also been confirmed with SeaFenix and Legacy. We all are running OS X 10.10 (Yosemite). Could you look into that and put a fix for that in the next update? That would be splendid!

Thanks!!  Afro

PS: At least in my case, the main menu music plays when I first open up the game.

That turned on the menu music. I also did menu2.ogg 2 and I got the old school menu Cheesy Cheesy haha

Now what?

This confirms i can't fix it and it's very likely you'll have to keep playing without ingame music because it's very unlikely that a patch will be made for that and/or for MacOS anytime soon.

Can it just be a simple case of adding the .OGGs?

These are the OGGs in my music interface file. If I get the .OGGs for the ingame music and name them as they should, would the game read them correctly?

I don't understand exactly what you mean. They should be properly named already. There's probably some rogue issue like a stray /playmusic 0 command somewhere in the code or some unwanted audio driver behavior. Can't tell, unfortunately.

I guess my question is should there be more than 8 .OGG files?
  • defeat
  • draw
  • intro
  • menu1
  • menu2
  • menu3
  • menu4
  • victory

I feel like there should be an .OGG called 'ingame.ogg' or something. I think the problem is that the files just aren't there. I listened to all of them and they are all the songs that I can here while in the menu or in game, like the short defeat/victory/draw tune. I hope I explained myself better...  Undecided

/game/music/interface is where the files you listed are located.

There should be a /game/music folder where the ingame music is.

a_new_earth.ogg
apocalyptic_lands.ogg
etc.

Oooh I see! Well that folder doesn't exist. The only files in my /games/music folder is the /interface subfolder. I also tried searching for those two .oggs you listed (a_new_earth.ogg and apocalyptic_lands.ogg) and got zero results

That didn't do anything.
What if you dropped to me the music folder with all of the ingame .oggs?

That is a zip file. Rename it and unpack it there.

Any thoughts on a making a server transfer vote that Server admins can set up?

For example Groentjuh could edit in his "Groentjuh's & Girls" xr_admin.cfg :

// VOTES:
set sv_allowSvrMoveVotes 1
set sv_SvrMoveName "Groentjuh's Kingdom"
set sv_SvrMoveAddress "87.117.228.107:11435"

If the vote passes everyone is moved to the specified server (but not forced to stay ofc). Good way to move to better servers when there are only enough players for one server.
