Shape shifter:

No prerequisites. Free to field.

S2 Shape Shifter

These guys are basically recon/saboteurs. Their trademark skill, Polymorph, allows them to assume the appearance (but not the abilities) of any enemy, whether the enemy be dead or alive. Having done so, the information displayed to enemies is also disguised, allowing them to sow confusion among enemy ranks. They are also capable of powerful, long ranged attacks (though I hesitate to call it sniping). Their most dreaded ability, however, is Sacrifice, in which they explode in a great ball of fire, dealing severe damage to any nearby enemies or buildings!

Summoner:

S2 Summoner

As their name suggests, Summoners are capable of summoning monsters to aid them in battle. These creatures will follow their master anywhere and, when he orders them to attack, will dog their target endlessly! Although the Bearloth is generally considered the stronger of the two with its formidable melee prowess, the Imp is not to be underestimated with its magical attacks and high accuracy. Summoning has its risks, though, as the Summoner's empathy literally allows him to feel his pet's pain! Aside from that, Summoners also have a decent ranged weapon and the ability to summon Sentry Hawks (think of them like flying Clockwork Eyes).

Predator:

Requires Predator Den. Costs 400 gold.

S2 Predator Den

A true terror among beasts, Predators have not only powerful melee abilities but also the ability to poison, lower armor rating, speed up their own attacks, or even heal themselves with every successful strike. Add on top of that their fast-flying Blaze and their explosive new weapon (sorry, name eludes me, but it's kinda like a flaming rock that explodes) and you've got all the makings of a monster!

Conjurer:

No prerequisite. Free to field.

S2 Conjurer

Conjurers are useful support units as they are capable of accelerating the growth of any of the horde's structures (which literally grow out of the ground). Further supporting their packmates, they can also materialize a mana fountain which refills about half mana of any allies that drink of its enchanted waters. But don't think that they're pushovers; they can bind multiple enemies to the ground with vines, rendering them vulnerable to ranged attacks. They can conjure a poisonous plant which attacks any nearby enemy. And they can even spray spores of poison like a shotgun from their thorny hands.

Shaman:

Requires Sanctuary. Free to field.

S2 Shaman

Any assault by the horde cannot truly be pushed back until every Shaman lies dead. They are capable of multiple healing spells, can gradually regenerate the mana of nearby packmates, and can even shroud an ally in a veil of mist, protecting him from ranged attacks. Although the Shaman has no ranged attacks of his own, he can twist the mind of his enemies, distorting their vision and slowing their actions.

Their main goal is to damage enemy buildings. Protect these with support units.

Tempest:

Requires Charm Shrine. Costs 750.

Tempest

The tempest is perhaps one of the most peculiar-looking of beasts, looking more like a djinni than an animal. Although incapable of physically attacking, it is feared for its ability to rain destruction from the heavens in the form of meteors! When danger strikes, it can assume a ghostly form to completely negate damage until reinforcements can arrive. If you're anywhere near a Tempest and you hear a rumbling in the air above you, RUN!

Behemoth:

Behemoth

A fifteen-foot tusked beast wielding an entire tree as his weapon is certainly an imposing sight! His uprooted tree can instantly kill any infantryman, but is awkward to swing, leaving him surprisingly exposed to both ranged and melee attacks. Even so, he still has some crowd-control tactics, like Stomp, which stuns and injures any nearby enemies. But the Behemoth's true value lies in laying waste to cities and strongholds. Only a fool would allow a Behemoth to march through his base unhindered!
