In which s2z file the lego axe is located?, i didn't find the crossbow, and melee meapons(except shammie hammer)

The .model files are the savage 3d models. You can't open a .model file by default.  Unless I'm mistaken, Jaguar created the axe himself.

I know that i can't open a model in 3dsmax, but i can't find the axe(or any other melee weapons, except spirit hammer) model to replace with my ones, but all the other models are on savage2.s2z, are they in some dark corner of savage useless files?  Shocked

edit: just found that the uvw maps are getting f*cked, only one side is appears with the right uvw, the other became strange

look at the .object files and you will see where model files are.

(I extract all the zip folders for editing purposes. Alot, faster. (start with *1.s2z and work up to higher numbers))

P.S.
Later I probably will break savage components down more instead of just the silverback.

With a normal SFE/SEP server that's completely impossible.

edit: actually it's easily possible: sv_fasttech 1, etc, get in comm and just place the buildings Tongue

The current server engine doesn't contain any commands for spawning. We may within the next year come up with some new stuff to make moding and real-time God mode more fun.

Hey, Model creation on Savage is something I would really be interested in experimenting with. Either creating new models or editing the current ones. But when I click on 'Learn more' on the create a model post it takes me to a dead link. I downloaded the Savage model exporter but it did not come with a read me so I have no clue about what it does and how it does it. Also I don't have 3DS Max, but I do have Cinema 4D which is able to open up 3DS files. So may someone tell me how I can open up and see the models of things in Savage like buildings, units, weapons etc, and is it possible to make edits to them? So I may see the edits I made in game? Obviously such a thing would only be client side and not server side, but it would still be fun if such a thing is possible.

same only im using Blender(can use 3ds max too i think)  and i know how the exporter works but need an exporter for Blender :/

Currently everyone is using 3d studio max for exporting models. If you would like to export your models to savage using another program you'd need to create your own plugin.

I can see if I can find anyone interested in making a exporter for blender.

Hopefully,

I can get this database containing everything technical savage together. Once it is, then I'll convert it into a Java applet to allow for easy browsing through the database.

How about a nice big wiki topic for this? I for one want a Maya plugin... but if some nice people with Max can export us some models, we can get working on it. Soon as I remember my password for this forum I'll get working on the wiki...

ok the exporter i have problems with ......

DLL <C:\location\3dsmax\stdplugs\savageexporterr6.dlu> failed to initialize.

error code 127- the specific procedure could not be found





also is it possible to import models from savage ??
