why i never cannot rename a map , everytime is the same answer with any new name i tried... Huh
must delet permanent and reupload to change name

I (hopefully) fixed xr_bubbles sound effects with the new effect script in XR 1.3 and made some minor adjustments to the map. I have the updated map and overhead ready to upload, but of course I can't upload them, because xr_bubbles is onlined and so it can't be edited without elevated privileges.

So someone who can do it, please offline it so I can update it (EDIT: done, thanks DRK).

Does anyone know of a method to get random numbers for use in trigger scripts? Couldn't find anything. I could create randomness with the aid of the random intervals on interval triggers, but perhaps someone knows of a better way.

Back in the day I'd use modulo and gs_game_time.

Yello anyone,

Been working on a new map, but I can't load them up in a host game for some reason. Ive had this problem occur before on another machine with a fresh install. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong.

I've got two files they should be the same apart from the prefix;

  • xr_therock - Can't be loaded in either editor and ingame
  • therock - Can't be loaded ingame, can be loaded in editor

Can anyone check if they can load the maps in a host game session?

The files you uploaded are incomplete/damaged archives; ~1kb (0.2kb) each.
Are these the correct ones or did the Newerth Forum break them?  Smiley

do you use writeworld command when u save a map in editor?..  save button sucks.

Wow amazing! I won't have to wait for 30 minutes to get full tech anymore!! Why did I not know of devworld before, damnit.

Really? Grin Goodness gracious...

You can also use sv_fasttech 1, sv_infiniteresources 1, and sv_infinitegold 1 seperately, but devworld incorporates those already.

Making new map;







I might need some help with this, I'm trying to move all the trigger and script stuff from xr_pvp2 to my own map, gold_pvp. But I'm failing miserably. What I do is I unpack both archieves with WinRar, move the files from eden2_pvp] to the contents of the unpacked files of gold_pvp, after wich I repack them again as gold_pvp.s2z, does'nt work.

The files in question are attached below, can someone somehow merge the trigger and scriptfiles from "eden_pvp" to "gold_pvp", please? Would appriciate it!

i've made some changes if u don't mind xD

you just have to copy triggers and scripts folders from a map to another.
but, you didn't copy config_server.cfg
and you have to put all buildings ( arsenal, elect, mag, siege, etc), for human and for beast in map.

take this version if u like, this is finished.
if u don't, just copy config_server.cfg, and put buildings for each team and it will work.
