Hello R.D.
Welcome to newerth forum

i support you on this, scav look much better  Cheesy, as i always wish to see more units style improvement.

hope administrators can lead you to the right direction in steps that you can follow.
in my opinion, i would like to see all beasts units as 1 package  Tongue.

can i ask you more info like when did you start playing savage and whats your nickname in game?

Hello.

Could you please post the poly counts and the texture resolutions of both the old and the new models? Cuz it looks to me more like a turbosmooth applied on the original mesh, than a skin repaint.

Thank you!

Well, basically, for almost twice the original poly count, what you get is some rounded shoulders and some other corners here and there, that are all but invisible while playing and especially since they're masked by the armor.

But if you get a full set, i'm pretty sure i can include the units as a cosmetic mod. That and if you're not djinghis.

I'm not sure that that the changes are going to matter much anyway, since nobody else except myself and maybe a few others even noticed or cared about the spikes that were coming out of the predator model before i (partially) fixed it myself.

TBH i've learned that model detail should be done by sculpting, lighting and generally, texture manipulation, not geometry. For such a simple model as the scav, 4K is quite enough. Almost 8K is too much, with no actual detail improvement, just static pose smoothness. Take Dmitriy Parkin's Imrod model, which i absolutely love. At 9K, it looks positively 900K-ish because of sculpting:

Yeah, sculpting is interresting for Savage III (how many weeks working for that result Huh),
that was just a little improve for Savage 1, i thought it could be cool ...
If soma is happy with the current scav that's really cool i think. I'm happy too.
Have fun with the current scav and consider it was a wrong post.
Best regards to the Savage Community,
Bye +

you could create a mod (savage#.s2z) for your skins and models and upload it here. people can then just drag and drop it into their install folder if they want to. i really appreciate your effort. it would be a pity if your work was lost.

keep in mind, people here are cautious with new community members. we had problems in the past where certain content creators added malicious code to their work for their own selfish reasons.
