I vote for shag's beast demo 1 and human demo 2. Like I commented earlier, such diverse, skillful and educational gameplay there. Very entertaining to watch!  afro

i liked nanaa's duels the most, it reminds me a lot of my own style  wink

Thanks! Actually you and Sentenza have influenced my style the most.

Okay, I rewatched all of my favourite demos in game again.

The 3 winners are:

Beast Demo 01
Human Demo 02
Duel Demo 02

If you have any objections or want to check the demos by yourself, download this:
http://www.newerth.com/tirza/DemoComp.rar

(contains: Beast Demo 02, 03, Human Demo 02, 04, 05, Duel Demo 02, 08, 09 and all used maps)

Explanations:

Beast Demo 03 was too short, only showed few units and weapons and was a one way game (although it was good as long as it lasted, with exception of the solo building part).

Human Demo 04
Good teaming up during the whole match and impressive play, including using siege. I would say gameplay wise it is as good as Human Demo 02, but 20 minutes moss is rather depressing. I think crossroads has the better atmosphere for showcase gameplay, also the crossroads match was more dynamic due to the flags.

Human Demo 05
Had too much grinding in the begin and too much walking all over the map and going solo. The match was too cluttered and without coordinated flow of attacks. But it had some nice runs and the most variation in item use from all demos.

Duel Demo 08
While the melee accuracy is great, the constrain pitch setting makes the mouse movements looking generic and boring (no vertical view variation). Mostly the same leaping distance and flicks during the whole demo. For the stalker and scav gameplay constain pitch is really annoying to watch and hard to follow IMO.

Duel Demo 09
Best overall performance from all demos, however messy pred and constant microlags/stuttering which wasn't that obvious in the youtube version (wireless internet?), as well as missing animations. Does it lag for everyone else too? If this demo wasn't so laggy, it would win.

Do you agree with my decisions?

Is your PC connected to the internet modem with wifi or with a cable? You play with ping 30 but you still lag, that's crazy.

Constantly, you see the stuttering best during the leaps.

Awesome!  smiley

I tought Ultima would win but bad luck with the lags. At least you won the ndc, so you shouldn't be mad.

Grats Shagroth for BI-WINNING!!  cheesy

Okay, it seems most people are happy with the results.

I'd like to congratulate Shagroth and Nanaa for submitting the 3 demos that represent Savage XR best and I also want to thank everyone else who invested time to record and participate!

smiley

Shagroth and Nanaa, please answer my PM and you'll get your prices next week.

Okay, prices have been sent to Shagroth and Nanaa. They should arrive in 2-3 days.

They didn't have norways NOK currency, so I accidentally sent Shagoths price with 1:1 rate from dollar to euro. I hope you don't mind, hahaha.

If i were Shagroth, i would have donated it all to charity! Minus the euro-dollar difference which i would buy me a couple beers with.

Alright, I got the confirmation from both winners that they received their prize.  afro

Also a big thanks to Faun who redesigned the map for the duel demo. After editing the chat messages a bit in the Humans and Beast demos they would be basically ready for an implementation into the tutorial section  smiley
