Thanks for this ending happy Smiley
And thanks to Daemon for modding this and the others who participated. The beginning wasn't that much fun due to the many suicides, but it got better later on.

Was really upset when it turned out happy was the mysterious visitor in the night, i was sure this was Sasukes role. Gave him the possibility to draw the game.

Wow! It's done - superb ending for a twisted game. Playing was great fun, also watching after my death... I really should have sacced IgorS xD . The plan to do this was the reason for my cryptic "good night" wish, still I had too much doubts and really didn't want to sac a townie.
Playing as a townie was surprisingly hard, playing as mafia was way more clear how to play and use the abilities.
Good game everyone, a pity some had troubles to follow the game
Daemon, thanks a lot for organising!

Wow! I would like to kindly give a giant pat on the back to my fellow BBB members, your godfather could never be more grateful for the wonderful ideas we all had and contributed! I'm happy to say I've gotten to know all of you much better. Another big round of applause to Dervun, my friend, you are WAY to smart for your own good  afro. I really enjoyed playing and watching my BBB brethren keep up.
If requested, happy can post all the BBB emails, you guys might want to see behind the scenes Smiley

I thought i was over the top sometimes (most times Smiley). I thought about writing a short fanfic, to begin with, but i simply don't know how my writing sounds to the native English speaker. Sometimes i did intend to make the stories as undescipherable as possible. Confusion is a big part of this game. To make it clear, i've posted the roles HERE:

The creation of roles is governed by a few rules that are there to ensure equal chances for all teams. One of these is “strong roles should not receive automatic credibility”. For instance, in a game where all mafia (BBB) are made of humans, Dervun was a human investigator. He is powerful – yet he would have to work for it, in case he would be found as non-beast. The sooner that would happen, the more danger he would be in, because he might not have had the chance to establish himself as a worthy pro-town player.

Healers have been given downsides as well. Winterfresh was a human, and had only 6 potions. Phoenix woulda taken over from his master and he woulda been given only the remaining potions. In the case of Feathers and Arjey, their role was VERY powerful because they could protect and vouch for each other. That makes 2 less players among which BBB to hide. Their downsides were that they had to work together and try and find each other and then ‘covertly’ agree on who to target at night, EVEN THEMSELVES!

As another rule of mafia roles is ‘to every rule there’s an exception’, there was one regarding the use of magic, too. Unlike the other Shamans, Nature Shamans have to perform a ritual of harnessing the power of nature in their rooms first, then move to their targets to use it. This info was provided to Valli, and they could have made the connection – go back to sub to get mana, then get out and heal people.

Another example is Mopok, who was Beast Behemoth. He could protect teammates, but he would block their abilities in the process. On the flip side, this can be applied to enemies as well, as an offensive ability. Strong role, with other downsides as well: who would believe he’s a Baby Behemoth that easily in a game taking place in a monastery? He can’t even read books! Smiley Later on, tho, if the game didn't end, he would be taken out of the equation by turning into a psycho.

Every information has to be used in a context. For instance, Feathers was spotted by valli initiating the healing ritual in his house. But: he probably was Arjey’s shaman buddy, as he knew and revealed details which Arjey confirmed. He was spotted in the room of someone that didn’t die. He did vote Envious out of the game. He WAS proven a magic user, in a game where the mafia had no such powers. The fact that he did not made the connection between his role and valli’s info is secondary to the weight the previously mentioned reasons had.

In the game of mafia, every player is defined by a few aspects: his role, what he did, and what he said, and what others have on him. Most of the times, not having the full picture can lead to undesired lynches, therefore it’s very important to test every info against the template of a mafia player. For instance, lynching mopok, a confirmed beast, before IgorS/happy/UnSaFe, confirmed humans, just like the race BBB is made of, is an epic fail at doing that.

A good Mafia member is a player that manages to get 1 townie lynched, by whatever means (lying, vouching with his own life, and whatnot), something which also forces the game to go into the night phase, where Mafia can kill 1 more. Then, he may/will get lynched in turn, but this then triggers a new night and a new kill for Mafia. This makes 1 mafia dead for 3 dead townies. 1 player profit – compared to the 2:1 ratio from the getgo. If you keep quiet, you go down without helping your team.

I'd like to quote some fun stuff from Mind:
On a side note: I do believe that D is capable of making roles that complete each other. But I do not believe he'd give them the same name. Even more, roles that complement each other should be powerful roles. Weakened when alone, imba if cast together. But in this case it would be a healer, back up healer and 2 luck based healers. A game with 4 healing based roles? That is to much. I think the nature does other stuff than healing, in that case, Feathers would be lying.
But of course there are many healers Smiley It’s Healers’ Wars! Hahahaha

This was BBB's downfall as well. They just kept attacking high profile targets. I think a total of 5 kills were wasted on such players, like Dervun, Valli, Skuggi, just in those nights following days when these townies had a prominent role, attracting healers' protection in the process - all of them! Smiley The simple name of this game shoulda made them consider picking off slightly less critical players, and they woulda won by day 8 or 9.

I'm sorry about all the inactivity, couldn't be helped. It's my fault for giving them the benefit of the doubt - i failed Smiley. I also made some minor screw-ups while modding the game. Nothing major tho. A wrong nigth info sent to Winter, only half the role sent to pizlo (the rest was on the next page in the Word document Tongue). All in all, more than 600 e-mails Smiley.

The single most important event of the game was Skuggi blocking happy in the night he died. If, that night, happy woulda been allowed to hijack a vote, BBB woulda won. I'm sure you got stuff you'd like to clarify, so I'm waiting for questions like:
Q: Why there was no kill in Night 1?
A: Envious forgot to send the target Tongue.

A laconic summary of the first 5 nights I wrote a week ago. I might write 3 more nights later, we'll see...

N1:
Everyone agrees that Hakugei, Mind and Lucky are the high profile targets for the first night kills. At some point each of them is being suggested as a kill for the first night but in the end we prefer killing Hakugei > Mind > Lucky.

  • happy orders WinterFresh to vote against Tjens. Idea: Winter is loud and will confirm the presence of vote manipulation in the game.
  • metjm disables the night time ability of pizlo.
  • Tjens scouts Faun. Result: Faun stayed in his room for the duration of the night.
  • Envious forgets to send in Hakugei as our night kill target.

N2:
We agree that killing Hakugei and Mind too fast will make the game boring, also because they are their usual selves anyway, and because they were mostly arguing with mafia guys... We agree to kill Lucky because he hasn't said much yet and hence the kill will leave no clues. The good sportmanship was mentioned here but the goal of dominating monastery goes before anything.

  • happy orders valli to vote against Faun (picked at random).
  • metjm disables the night time ability of Skuggi (picked at random).
  • Apparently UnSaFe heals Tjens.
  • Tjens might have scouted Mind (we never got to know about it).
  • Envious doesn't send in the target in the proper way. Daemon agrees to accept the target clarification from me: Leo kills Lucky.

N3:
We consider killing Mind, but there's a risk Envious will get in the spotlight after the recent arguments with Mind and Feathers. We decide to kill valli, because he said to watch the 6 people who voted against Phoenix. And because he had the timing accident with Dervun when speaking about the vote manipulation. He was also suspicious about Mind after Lucky died.

  • happy does not use his vote manipulation (mostly because see no reason to do that).
  • metjm does not use his potion (had “only” 4 potions remaining).
  • Tjens scouts Hakugei. Result: Hakugei did not leave his room.
  • Envious sends UnSaFe to kill valli. valli gets healed by WinterFresh.

D3:
  • metjm suicides
  • Robin5Hood suicides after saying he saw who was in Hakugei's room. Hakugei saw his role.
  • happy posts a reply which could fire back at him any time.

N4:
  • happy deduces that Moxy is an investigator: Moxy attempted to use his NTA and got blocked -> he probably has limiless NTA and he is unlikely to be a healer or blocker -> he's investigator.
  • Tjens is afraid Robin5Hood was a scout and now Hakugei will “pound Tjens to the ground” whenever Tjens claims his own scout role.
  • More of us grow concerned about Dervun but it's not entirely safe to kill him as he just had an argument with Envious.

We want Leo to use a demo pack for a double kill this night. Hakugei becomes a clear choice for the usual kill. The demo pack victim is not obvious, we pretty much randomly name a lot of candidates including Derun, Mind, Faun and Skuggi. We end with the choice of blowing up Skuggi or Mind. I prefer Mind because I think Mind plays more aggressive and can motivate others better. Envious prefers Skuggi for his analytical skills. The final choice belongs to Leo.

  • Tjens scouts Moxy. Has no results on scouting this night.
  • happy forces Dervun to vote against Envious. Goal: could mess things up.
  • Envious sends UnSaFe to kill Hakugei.
  • Leo does not respond to e-mails this night, no demo pack kill happens.

D4:
  • Envious lynched.

N5:
  • I suspect Arjey to be healer because of this reply.
  • I suspect Feathers to be a healer because he has been speaking about healers way too much during D3 and D4. Also I think he argued with Moxy to avoid revealing he's a healer.

I suggest killing Arjey, Feathers (reason: healers) or Mind (reason: “probably smart, unlikely to be watched this night”). happy wants to kill Moxy because we do not tolerate investigators and he's likely to be the last investigator in the game. Eventually we agree with happy to kill Moxy. Both Arjey and Feathers do not seem dangerous during the day, and there's even a chance to bandwagon one of them the next days, so we leave them alone. We want to kill Dervun or Mind using the demo pack. Once again the final choice belongs to Leo.

  • Tjens scouts Skuggi. Only Tjens knows the result.
  • happy and UnSaFe do not use their NTA-s.
  • I send myself to go and murder Moxy.
  • Leo is not reading his e-mail during the second part of the night hence he does not use his demo pack again.

D5:
  • Leodasvacas lynched.

N6:
Daemon informs us that the BBB team has been compensated with being allowed to place the activated demo charge Leo has left behind, in someone's room, this night only. We pretty much unanimously agree to kill Arjey. He amplified the previous suspicions of being a healer by posting this reply. All of us want to kill Dervun - but not everyone believes we have a chance to do so. Either way, we decide to try blowing him up.

  • UnSaFe delivers Leo's demo pack to Dervun's room.
  • Tjens supposedly scouts Faun.
  • I send happy to kill Arjey.

Dervun gets healed by Feathers.

D6:
  • Feathers gets lynched.

Oh yeah killing Feathers that was a fail. I never made the connection that only non BBB can use magic. Good that we find that out now cheesy

As for the awards, since this was technically a draw (thanks to happy's gentlemanship we didn't have to wait 2 more days), i can pick the best player from the BBB, even though, traditionally, it's one from the wining team:

Moderator's Award: IgorS
He had purely awesome tactics and had kept on analyzing the game at a level which makes me a proud mod Smiley. If it were not for his slip (he did not wait for happy to reveal info about the way he was blocked, especially the "ice" magic detail) and he didn't come up with the proper details for his role, he woulda been almost flawless. Safe for some chickening out (low activity at times)

Sorry buddy, you're the first to go in the next game. If they won't kill you at night, they'll lynch you the next day for surviving the 1st night Smiley.

Santa's Helper Award: Dervun
He player pretty good - though he did made a couple of mistakes but other than that, it wasn't that bad. His results were not clear cut - if they were, the game would suck. Under the circumstances, he did weigh the info and checked it against role declarations - mostly with good results ;P.

Good Samaritan Award: Happy
Thanks to him, the game did not end by everyone losing. I think there'd be some bad (beast) blood among his teammates, but all in all, we should consider it a draw.
