Please try these 3 things:
 (1) Delete the folder "/autoupdater"
 (2) Delete the file startup.cfg
 (3) Run Savage as administrator.

And another thing:
 (4) Right click on your "savage" installation folder, properties, and uncheck "read-only". Apply this to all files and folders.

OK. it work but after some test .

i did follow from step 1 to 4 and game did not even start.
(in fact if i erase autoupdater folder SAVAGE .EXE dont even launch in process.)
so I RESTORED it. AND THE GAME CRASHED HAS before.

I Dont remember exactly, but at one moment the updater process restarted maybe from the startup.cfg missing...
IN THE END. I lost my configuration but now everything is fine. btw XR prereleave is Rmod friendly :p

cu .

thx for the assistance momo

We strongly advised people to not use RMOD 5.
There are many GUI changes in XR 1.0, and using RMOD 5 will make many of these new options invisible.
It may also interfere with proper function, causing unpredictable bugs.

my keyboard marks are messed up when using XR 1.0. For example question mark, ' and :  aren't where they should be when in Savage. I've a scandinavian keyboard with , and . Those are replaced with random marks.

XR1.0 causing it or just a random issue?

i KNEW IT!

GOT SOME ISSUE WITH RMOD  Sad

Well, for me RMOD is working until now - even with new XR. But as Mohican stated above, there are many new options that i dont want to miss, that are invisible in RMOD.

We strongly advised people to not use RMOD 5.
There are many GUI changes in XR 1.0, and using RMOD 5 will make many of these new options invisible.
It may also interfere with proper function, causing unpredictable bugs.

That's why i want to change now and play without RMOD. BUT! (Yes, there are few things that i would like to know about Wink )...

In RMOD there was this sweet little thingy called "View Options" - which contains the following options:

- View Height
- View Distance
- Cam Turn Speed
- Follow Speed
- Weapon Angle
- Zoom Speed
- Camera Shake

Now my question is: how can i set these options without using RMOD?

Here comes a picture to explain it more detailed:

As you can see in the picture above, i was using the Relo-bind of RMOD too (yes i know that many of you think it's bed, but i like it Tongue ). How can i do this without using RMOD?

PLZ help me guys - i am lost without my Relo-bind  Grin

Camera follow speed and other such cvars will still be adjustable - those that aren't hax or abuses.
Insta-click binds won't work anymore, and as soon as the server is released, neither will with RC3 or any other version. Get used to select the item and then clicking the mouse button like a man! Smiley

no prob, i just wanted to ask. but back to my main question: you wrote that cam follow speed and all those cvars will still be adjustable. but how? is there any topic here, where all those nice little helpers are listed - or can u explain me those a bit closer (i dont know how to change this cvars via console - and yes, i know that i am noobish Tongue )?

Those are governed by cvars; all RMOD does is mask it with user-friendly GUI.
If I recall correctly, Tirza wanted to make sure some of those customizable RMOD options (the non-hacks) are available for XR1.0 as well. Push her a little, HugiN.

For example try changing your "cl_cameraAngleLerp" value. Try 0, 1, 10, 9999 or anything in between.
