Can I convert the finished files straight into .s2g with Notausgangs .s2g-converter? (I stored them as .tif), or do I need to do it another way to prevent losses?

I go from .psd > .tga > .s2g

.tga is a raw format, so you don't have compression loss when converting. Aside from that, you are inevitably going to get some loss at the .tga > .s2g point, them's the breaks.

is there a way i could make a kind of installer with teh textures in it, so hat you just download the installer, select your savage folder and it will install the textures without you having to edit your savage0.s2z?

Savage reads the savage#.s2z numerically. So when creating a mod, you need only to keep the same folder structure and then name your zipped file savage#.s2z with instructions to make the number 1 higher than any other savage#.s2z in the players game folder.

ah, so no matter what is read in savage0.s2z, the savage#.s2z with the highest value defines what textures are used?

Yes, but it only goes up till #15. Smiley
Whereas you shouldn't need more than 3 anyway. :p

Can someone tell me how to make an installer :p? I know a little (very little) programming, but i have no idea how to do an installer, so it would be very convenient if someone could make me an installer of some kind where i would just have to ad the textures file, and upload it to newerth.

Google will show you the way to all kinds of installers. :p
But why do you need an installer for this? An archive is enough as Shacar and Ane explained.

well, I was thinking of a file that you would download (an exe of other executeble file type) and would make you selevt your savage XR folder, and then install the textures there.

If you have to select the folder yourself anyway, you might as well just copy-paste the archive directly into it. :p
Also, .s2z are more trustworthy than .exe files. Cheesy
