This is a small mod which gives you recodes of original 2.0e/ex2 .wav sounds to .ogg, with 3 times the quality of XR and SFE sounds.

Download

After you download the .s2z, rename it to savage2.s2z and put to your /savage/game folder.

Never understood why the sounds were repeatedly compressed. How much smaller does it make the installer?

Yes, its working fine with me. But when I download it its really very slow in speed. But later it works fine. As I never find such before. Its really very useful to me.

The HD sounds are part of XR since RC3.
