Tirza and I are pleased to present savage custom balance mod. It's called Chocolate Savage and can be played right now on this server.

This mod alters nearly every aspect of savage, be it minor or major adjustments, while leaving core gameplay intact.

The main goal of this project is to improve savage gameplay, by expanding tech build possibilities, fixing melee and balancing weapons, units and items.

The secondary goal is to adjust race balance in early, mid and lategame.

We hope that we have met our goals, and we need Your feedback!

Looks like a good start to me.

If you want I can get you an Aussie server to host your changes on as well.

As for me, it is great. Not so much changing the 'atm' gameplay. Just need to remember few things.

I have most of them seen and felt. Maybe 3+ years playing vets will see big chnages or so, but for 'newbies'kinda almost nothing have changed.

Chem HAS power now. Maybe a bit too long reloc time.

anyways, I enjoyed this changes. My feedback Tirza have heard.

So keep up the work and make it perfect.!  afro afro

I'm sure that i'm not the only one that fails to see how a "nerf the hums & buff the beast" would help the balance of games won be reestablished, in the sense of games won being devided equally amongst races and not increase the number of games won by beasts even more.

This is indeed a great improvement in making relentless pred melee pwning immensely pleasurable. And will prolly manage to split the players "pool" into even more non-standard isolated communities like hvh, noobs4boobs, specialnewbie, etc. Players settling on playing this mod will be forever lost Smiley.

One more thing: how is it more fun playing hums here? Oh, it's not supposed to. So now, everybody will stack t2 on the expense of t1 noobs, unaware of what they've gotten themselves into.

"nerf the hums & buff the beast"

These balancing chances and improvements are not linear to one race or one tech tree.
They are different for early, mid and late game and each tech tree. You should stop talking undifferenciated about nerfing "Beasts" or "Humans" because that leads to questionable conclusions.

God... I'm trying to write precious and can't be bothered with searching the most common and simple words for everything just to be untroubled by your irrelevant objections. Bring in something useful in this discussion, please.

since you are trying to write precious i think its hard for everyone to understand, especically by ppl who arent that good in english

and its pretty interesting, although i dont think that the changes balance the game more, the imbalances are caused by the stack if you ask me

Belive me, these changes have way less influence on the game than a stack has these days. wink

We had totally maybe 2 games with more than 14 players, which is certainly not enough to make a final judgement about the settings. But from the duel/physics testing I can say that melee feels more responsive.

A well-thought of explanation to describe the reasons of ever individual need of the changes you've made may collide upon more open-minded beings.
